【Main Ingredient】Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG).
【Description】A white lyophilized cake or powder.
【Pharmacological Effects】This product has follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)- and luteinizing hormone (LH)-like effects.
In female animals: Promotes follicular maturation, ovulation, and corpus luteum formation, and stimulates the corpus luteum to secrete progesterone.
In male animals: Promotes androgen secretion by testicular interstitial cells and facilitates spermatogenesis.
【Indications and Uses】
A hormonal agent. Primarily used to induce estrus and promote follicular development in female animals; also used for superovulation in embryo transfer programs.
【Administration and Dosage】Before use, dissolve with 2–5 mL of sterile physiological saline (normal saline). Administer by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Estrus induction
Horses, cattle: 1,000–2,000 IU
Sheep: 100–500 IU
Pigs: 200–800 IU
Dogs: 25–200 IU
Cats: 25–100 IU
Rabbits, minks: 30–50 IU
Superovulation
Female cattle: 2,000–4,000 IU
Female sheep: 600–1,000 IU
